I started this blog to share my knowledge of education and how
education appears in all its forms in Colorado. Learning is a key part of my
life and I understand the importance of education. Education can come in both
formal ways, schools and colleges, or informal ways like through museums or
even educational shows on T.V. I am a lifelong learner with 4 degrees at present
and I have started my 5th. I started college when I was 12 and a half
at the Community College of Aurora and have no intention to ever stop learning.
The more I learn, I have found that no subject stands alone and all subjects are
intertwined. As an undergrad at CSU studying science I heard from many
professors that their subject is more important than others and that others
would not exist without their subject. Education is a whole and I want to share
that with my fellow Coloradoans.
This blog will include information from all the educational
conferences, professional development, readings and more that I experience to
give people a sense of where education is at present and where I hope it will
go.
Some of the posts from this blog will also be shared with my Geeked
Colorado blog. I believe that there are ways to combine a person’s education
with the things that interest them. One of these ways is by combining pop
culture into how people are taught and how each person can guide their class
project/homework to their geekiness.
