8/22/22: "59% of Americans worry student loan forgiveness will make inflation worse, CNBC survey finds"- I will fully admit that I do not support student loan forgiveness. Not only would it hurt the economy, but people knew that when they took out the loans to pay for school that they would owe that money back. They choose to take the loans out instead of finding other ways to pay for class. Also what are they going to do for everyone that did pay for school themselves. Are they going to give them tax credits or something? No. They think that everyone that worked hard to pay for their education are rich. This is not the case. They gave up just as much if not more for school. Also just forgiving loans does not teach people how to adult. This should be the primary thing that schools and the government does, prepare people for the real world. Loans and owing people money are a part of that and people should not barrow more money then they can pay back. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/08/22/americans-are-concerned-student-loan-forgiveness-will-worsen-inflation.html?fbclid=IwAR2iDvNLS4Yt7WHlEvmSFuh7xRFSj4ILBMOZnPgICbul41TOd4Whr_5LXFg
