2/8/22: "Denver Public Schools to end mask mandate" - This is happening way to soon. New infections is going down, but the death rate remains high which means that there is still high risk with infections. Also the CDC is telling people to stay masked for at least a few more weeks. 2/9/22: "Dolly Parton's Dollywood Resort To Pay Tuition For All Employees" - Hopefully more businesses will follow this lead. 2/18/22: "Colorado School Districts Consider Later Start Times To Improve Student Learning"- I would want to see more research to see how start time impacts learning out comes of those early morning classes. Give me data. Then I have a few concerns in general. First off I think that school should also help to prepare kids for life after school. Most adults have to get up early for work or work weird hours. I believe that kids should start training their bodies when they are young so that they can handle adult life. Many times adults have to run on little to no sleep while making important decisions. 2/28/22: "Aurora parents outraged after George Floyd video shown to 6-year-olds"- Well this was an utter failure in educators not knowing what material is right for an age group or not. Huge failure on this school and they need to evaluate the person who thought this was a good year and check to see if they ever had training on how to teach young children, because it seems like either they missed that in their education or they willfully ignored it. What is even more heartbreaking is when I watched the news this morning and they were interviewing one of the parents. Her child is mixed, but was questioning her if he was a bad person because he appeared white.
